Errata - Selftitled

Errata from Portugal asked me to put their EP on my blog. They consist of 5 members who play nice epic&melodic screamo, somewhere between Funeral Diner, Envy and some softer stuff...anyway they're quite outstanding! They sing mostly in Portuguese wich is quite unique even in Portugal. It might sound weird but it actually works out pretty well.

They're also looking for a label (possibly a foreign one) and for places to play, not only in Portugal but also throughout Europe.

14. August @ Immerhin, Würzburg:
My first failure, We once loved, Unce upon a time, ...

16. August @ K4, Nürnberg:
June Paik & Alia

18. August @ Immerhin, Würzburg:

20. August & K4, Nürnberg:
Men as trees & Single state of man

3. September:

FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Hey punks!
It's been one year ago now since I started with my "The difference between life and music" blog!
Unfortunately I got no special present for you ;-). But I wanna thank you for being loyal all the time and for helping me by uploading stuff for me. I also wanna thank all the bands that send me their stuff! Sorry for not putting everything on my blog, but I just want to provide the stuff that is (in my opinion) on the right place here, according to the genre.
So let's hope for another nice year and: Don't stop buying merch & records! ;) A real record is much nicer than some silly MP3s (I think I don't have to tell you that).

As you might know, the two great bands Single state of man (almost instrumental post-hc/rock, Germany) and Men as trees (screamo touched by post-rock, USA) are now touring together through Europe.
So Ingo (I.corrupt.shows&records) asked me to put the flyer on my blog. Well, here we go:

Wolves & Ampere - Split

Wolves (rooted in emo hardcore of the early to mid nineties) was first conceived in early 2000 by Brad Wallace and Tim Glowik. In the Fall of 2001 the band really got going with the line up of Tim Glowik, Brad Wallace, Erik Hopp, and Andy Skelly. In their four year existence they released one album (art.culture.work) an ep (Simulation.Transparency.Alienation) as well as two split 7” with Ampere and Sinaloa, and a 12” split with Transistor Transistor. Wolves decided to part ways due to geographic hardship and members growing in different directions creatively. Wolves played two last shows on January 30th, and 31st of 2004 in Amherst, and Boston, MA.

You can find the Ampere songs in a better quality on the "The first 5 years" CD!

Fuel - Monuments to excess [Discography]

"Fuel was a Bay Area post-hardcore musical act (active between 1989-91) that combined melody, power, and raw emotion to create both personal and political songs, something that was unique during the "first wave" of emo in the 1990s. Fuel had a sound akin to early-Hot Water Music and especially Fugazi with twin guitars and dueling rough post-hardcore vocals. In fact, it is noted that Fuel was called "Fuelgazi." Fuel's style has been compared to the D.C. sound of many Dischord bands." [Wikipedia]

This discography cd contains the songs of the "Selftitled" LP (01-10), the "Take effect" 7inch EP (11-14), split 7inch with Phleg Camp (15-16), "VA - If you can see through It... It ain't Coffee" 7inch (17) and the split 7inch with Angry Son (18).
